Chelsea is a dedicated and compassionate social worker currently in the process of attaining her licensure as a Clinical Social Worker. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. With over seven years of valuable experience working with children, Chelsea has refined her skills in creating nurturing and empowering environments for young individuals.
Having served as a Case Manager at a family homeless shelter, Chelsea developed a keen understanding of the unique challenges families face in times of crisis. She has also held a role as an After-School Counselor for children ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade.
One of Chelsea’s distinct passions lies in integrating art into therapy work with children and also adults. She believes in the power of creative expression as a means of communication and healing. Through her approach, she seeks to tap into the innate creativity and resilience of each client she works with.
Furthermore, Chelsea works in utilizing the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, as well as the Structural Family Therapy model. She believes in the effectiveness of this evidence-based approach in helping individuals develop practical coping mechanisms and strategies for managing anxiety. Her holistic and client-centered approach to social work reflects her genuine dedication to positive change and empowerment.
